COHS named for its ability to improve graduates’ employment outcomes
We are excited to announce that Cengage Learning’s Career Online High School, part of the Smart Horizons Career Online Education School District, was named a finalist by Reimagine Education for the 2016 Nurturing Employability Award. The prize is awarded to organizations that can clearly demonstrate a link between their project’s approach and improved employability outcomes.
Reimagine Education is a partnership between the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and QS Quacquarelli Symonds, which in 2014 launched the first global competition to identify the most innovative, novel approaches to education and employability.
The organization’s annual conference and awards ceremony was held last week in Philadelphia. Speakers included leaders from Google, Microsoft, IBM, Harvard, UPenn, and Wharton, and pedagogical innovators from all over the world.
The overall conference award was shared by Labster (Labster, Denmark) and Students as Producers (London School of Economics, United Kingdom). The overall Ed Tech award went to BYJU’s The Learning App (India).
Congratulations to Nurturing Employability category winners X-Culture: International Business Collaboration Project (University of North Carolina at Greensboro) and Incubation Cells (Tecnológico de Monterrey) for their work to nurture employability on a global scale!
We were honored to be named among such trailblazers and innovators.
